The Woonsocket Agricultural Sciences Laboratory, commonly abbreviated as WASL is a publicly-owned company of J Andres. It was originally founded in 2088 by Dennis Howard as a subsidiary of JTech[1]. The WASL was the first successful way to grow crops indoors on a large scale and sustainably. One year later, King Phillippe determined the WASL was a national resource and nationalized it[2]. The move was highly controversial at the time; however, King Phillippe insisted the move was in the public's best interest to prevent price gouging.
In the years following nationalization, the WASL has grown further, supplying approximately 70% of the country with all of their non-meat dietary needs by the year 2100.
