A "United Left" is used generally to describe a union of leftist alliances in a coalition, or one single Leftist alliance created from the major alliances of that political wing. The United Left, has only been achieved a scarce few times. The Socialist Workers Front is regarded as the best attempt at a United Left alliance when the second ICSN and original ICP, the two largest Left alliances at the time, merged to create SWF with ~300 members. At other times, the original International Communist Party (from August to December 2006) and the original International Coalition of Socialist Nations (from February to April 2006) could be argued to be a United Left alliance. The United Left in the original ICP, and SWF were ended due to Martenism and its resentment towards Leftist alliances. Such as the Maroon War, ICP Reformation War, and St. Patrick's Day War.
Today a United Left is, with the exception of several leftist micro alliances, a reality. In January 2009, the Communist Party of CyberNations merged with the Socialistic Empire and the left-leaning members of the Righteous Fist to form the International, a joint socialist-communist alliance with a large total membership. The reformation of the Socialist Workers Front briefly challenged the International, but its disbandment on February 5, 2010 left INT as the only large leftist alliance in the Cyberverse.
The Libertarian Socialist Federation (LSF) after having split from the ICSN has maintained its independence since, and throughout this period has usually regarded the concept of Leftist Unity to be one of little value, bringing instability as well as weakness and confusion to Planet Bob's leftists. For the same reason that the bourgeois, the LSF asserts that leftists should not seek to unite into one alliance, although retaining close ties with one another is ideologically sound and tactically useful, and the LSF has in the past committed itself to leftist military blocs such as The Internationale, and is currently a member of CADRE alongside The International.
