United Equestria (UE) is a themed alliance on the White sphere. It was founded on August 13, 2011, and is made up primarily of avid fans of the animated television show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The alliance's membership aims to share friendship and kindness with Planet Bob's inhabitants in the spirit of the show.
The alliance's members refer to themselves as Equestrians or bronies, the latter being a general term for those who make up the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fanbase. Applicants for the alliance do not necessarily need to have watched the show to be admitted entry, as United Equestria tries to be welcoming to all, be they bronies or not.
The official Charter of United Equestria was signed on August 13, 2011, by the Princess Regnant, Princess Consort, Chancellor, and a Royal Advisor of the alliance. All members are sworn to uphold the text of the charter.
United Equestria was founded on August 13, 2011, and swiftly grew in numbers and strength, reaching a membership count of nearly one hundred within a fortnight of its creation. A large portion of the membership was recruited from Ponychan, a website dedicated to the fanbase for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
The alliance's theme proved controversial on Planet Bob, with a number of nations expressing their ill-will towards United Equestria within hours of its Declaration of Existence. Nonetheless, Equestrians strove to maintain a reputation for friendliness, and have since done their utmost to uphold the principles of honesty, integrity and respect outlined in the alliance's official charter.
