The UFPNS (Union of Free Peaceful Neurotypical States; AKA "Kern") is centered in old K'fornya. Although we are on the Pink Team, we are part of the Mostly Harmless Alliance.
We have libertarian meritocracy and market economy. We trade resources for benefit of all. Farms produce vegetables, fruits, nuts, fungi, grains, cotton, hemp. Ranches have free-range cattle, sheep, llama, goat, ostrich, eloi. Plants & animals are used for food, fiber, fur, oils, medicine. Aquaculture in rivers, wetlands, and oceans for fish, rice, kelp. Mines provide coal, minerals, metal ores. For energy we have oil & natural gas with cogen & fracking. We have solar-focus towers, wind & tide farms, geothermal & thorium fission plants, Tesla energy transmission.
The Mars lab already did time-travel next year. We pay light taxes for military defence & basic government. We are neutral in foreign affairs; only fight for self or the MHA. Trained civil militias control crime, fight invaders & terrorists. Baseline food, shelter, healthcare provided by co-ops & churches.
Criminal code is based on the laws of One|True. We have short-term jails but no prisons. Natural inebriants & entheogens are legal for adults. Penalties for crime include public shaming, labor camps for victim restitution & addict rehab, neutering of rapists & pedophiles, execution of murderers, permanent exile; all decided by citizen courts. New citizens must pass basic knowledge & ethics tests & background check.
We have freedom of assembly, media, art, religion, music, trade, kichamba, travel. Political parties, religious groups, sport & game clubs, communes, and businesses abound in UFPNS. We assist physically/mentally disabled, elders, orphans, widows, clonoforms, synthetics, and uplifted sentients. Visitors can try free samples of Brawndo, shave ice, visola, cannabis, taquitos, shwarma, bentos, soylent. Tourists get temporary IM GPS chips & EM scans for weapons or implants.
