The Doctrine War started on 25 September 2025 when Doombrella (Dumb) declared war on nations on the United Purple Nations (UPN) alliance affiliation, citing the Majik Doctrine. The war quickly escalated when New Polar Order (NpO) defended UPN, citing a protection obligation from UPN's dissolution,[1] and continued to escalate quickly over the coming weeks. The war concluded on 18 November 2025, following a peace deal announced on 11 November 2025.
Background[]
Following NoR Way Out, Doombrella formed, and quickly began taking aggressive action to attack alliances it deemed "legacy alliances." Earlier in the year, Doombrella attacked the disbanded Siberian Tiger Alliance. On 12 September 2025, White Majik posted the Majik Doctrine.[2]
Doombrella had identified "legacy alliances," one of which was the United Purple Nations. UPN dissolved on 1 January 2016, but remained an in-game alliance. As part of its obligation from UPN's dissolution, New Polar Order identified UPN as an extension of itself which it was committed to protect as if it were itself. As a result, when Doombrella attacked UPN, the New Polar Order considered it as an act of war.
On 7 October 2025, Doom Squad declared war on The Legion based on grievances that were not related to the ongoing wars, though as part of the conflict.
On 12 October 2025, Doombrella and Non Grata declared war on Avalanche, citing the Majik Doctrine.
The war also involved grievances dating to BiPolar 2: Electron's Boogaloo, during which the New Polar Order canceled treaties and declared war on one former ally (notably The Dark Templar, a former ally through Oculus). Others had grievances dating to NoR Way Out regarding The Legion's conduct during that war and prior to it.

On 2 October 2025, COBRA declared war on Valhalla, a protectorate of The Legion. COBRA engaged in a second wave of attacks on 9 October 2025. On 10 October 2025, The Legion counter-attacked COBRA, and COBRA declared wars in retaliation. On 13 October 2025, The Legion recognized hostilities with COBRA. The Church of the Holy Platypus declared war on The Legion the same day in defense of COBRA.
