Solikamsk-Berezniki is a Uralican unitary authority that centres around the cities of Solikamsk and Berezniki, and contains several other small settlements in the area. It was one of Uralica's first seven unitary authorities, founded when the Unitary Authorities Act was passed on 15 August 2009. In terms of land area, it is the second-largest UA. Only Arkhangel'sk-Severodvinsk is larger. The UA flag is, effectively, a merging of Solikamsk's flag (the blue bands with white cubes) with Berezniki's shield (the yellow-green canton in the centre).
It is completely surrounded by Permski Rayon county.
