Revda (Finn. Revida) is a Uralican city, which is "twinned" to a degree with Pervouralsk, a city with which it almost merged. However, it was decided that the city centres were too far apart to facilitate this.

Still, the cities share a joint industrial park, much like Solikamsk and Berezniki do. As far as Revda's industry goes, it is similar to Pervouralsk in that it is a large producer of refractory bricks and other silicate products. However, it lacks the dairy market that its larger neighbour has, making up for it by having a larger transportation industry, which considering its location directly on Highway UH-2, is hardly surprising. It is among Uralica's top producers of individual car parts city-wise.

It also has a "non-ferrous foundry combine." There are six individual foundries, all owned by Bolak Corp., with each devoted to the metallurgy of a particular metal mined within Uralica that is not iron. Titanium, zinc, copper, nickel, cobalt, and silver are these metals.

Culture Edit

Revda's top three ethnic groups are presently Russian, Finn, and Bashkir, with a decent population of Estonians also living in the area. Like in Pervouralsk, there are markers showing the border between Asia and Europe in various places in the city. But Revda also has a strange museum devoted to border markers and road signs in its downtown area, which has become a popular tourist trap.

Otherwise, tourism isn't exactly the first thing to come to mind when mentioning Revda, although there are municipal parks in the city.

Sport Edit

All professional sport clubs in Revda are football (soccer), with all other sports playing out of Pervouralsk.
