Helene was born to parents of Kanosian heritage, who emigrated to Ossetia during the Second Great War. Her father found work as a carpenter, while her mother found part-time work at a local clothing factory. The young Helene grew up in the poor district of Ryka, a suburb of the city of Alvassy. When she was seven her mother died of lieukaemia, and from then she was brought up solely by her father.
She attended the National University of Ossetia and graduated after having studied Genetics, achieving a BSc, and followed it up with a postgraduate degree in Anthropology. She found work at the university in the Genetics Research department, and worked there for seven years, right up until her marriage to Crown Prince Revia. They met at a royal visit to the university, but nothing came of that meeting until they met again at the birthday party of a mutual friend.
She has her own duties as Princess in presiding over meetings of the city council at Feruche, while greeting foreign dignitaries to the country. She has given birth to what will be the first crowned female ruler of Ossetia, Crown Princess Kateryn-Elise.
