Peoples Paradise is a communist nation located in the former land of North Carolina, USA. It was announced and came into existence on May 5, 2009. Their capital is a military base known as The Command Territory.
Command Territory[]
The capital, known as Command Territory, is a central citadel which serves as the site of Central Military Command (CMC), Central Police Command (CPC), Central Health Authority (CHA), The National Education and Service Office (NESO), Board of Media (BoM), and The Economic Affair Command (EAC). Command Territory is generally closed to the public, for the common security of the government, although there have been several occasions where the NESO has invited students in the service portion of their education.
Goverment[]
The head of the government, or Central Body, is the Supreme Commissioner. The duties of the Supreme Commissioner are to oversee the actions off the Central Body. He is to approve and write legislation, command the military and police, approve the national curriculum, approve budgets and appropriations, and to appoint members of the body. He is given the authority to delegate his responsibilities to members of the Central Body Departments. The current and first Supreme Commissioner is Nomad2u2001 of the Peoples Central Party.
Education[]
The education in "Paradise" is reflective of its national mentality. Mandatory schooling runs from levels 1-12 or 5 through 18 years of age. During this time students are learning the basics of language, math, and sciences. They also take the time out to review national history and values. The national values of Pride, Service, and Togetherness are practiced through mandatory volunteer training from levels 5-12. Through this program, students are encouraged to perform duties that require teamwork and dedication to the nation. The students are required to take pride in their image in order to complete the program. This requirement is backed up by rules that require the students to wear a clean and pressed uniform and they must keep a perfect "high and tight" hair cut at all times.
After the first 12 levels, students have the option to seek work, train for the military, or attend University. For whatever decision they make, they must take a National Defense course.
