The New Church of Maroon was a quasi religious/military doctrine espousing protection for the oppressed. Approved Maroon team nations which made note of the Church in their nation bio were granted single-nation protectorate status from Church-member alliances.

Charge of the Church

The New Church of Maroon was founded to keep in mind the ideals of our deity, John Henry. The story of John Henry can teach us many lessons. One of these that, to be pious and moral nations, we must strive to aid those who are oppressed. To this end, the Church opens its doors and offers Sanctuary to all Maroon nations. Any Maroon nations which claims Sanctuary from the Church in its bio is hereby pronounced to be under our protection. This offer of Sanctuary shall not, however, be offered to the sinful. Those who attempt to abuse the protection of the Church to escape Justice shall know no peace. If one who has sinned against you attempts to partake of our generosity, it is encouraged that you notify a Church official and they shall be cast forth from our hallowed halls.
