Nation of Jenko is a medium sized, well developed, and aging nation at 462 days old with citizens primarily of British ethnicity who follow no religion. Its technology is first rate and its citizens marvel at the astonishing advancements within their nation. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Nation of Jenko work diligently to produce Lead and Cattle as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. It believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. The military of Nation of Jenko has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. Nation of Jenko allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Nation of Jenko believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Nation of Jenko will trade with other nations with questionable ethical treatment of their citizens but prefers to keep such trade agreements a secret.
History[]
The Nation of Jenko was founded on 8/14/2008 at 5:03:26 PM . Later in that day, it joined the Confederation of Organized Nations where it remained for 2 months. During its time in the CON the nation fought in 2 wars to defend fellow comrades of the alliance who were assualted for no reason. Both of these wars were won triumphantly resulting in 2 cases of Zero Infrastructure.
Somtime around the end of September, the Nation of Jenko withdrew from the CON after successful service in the recruitment department. Whilst the reasons for the withdrawel were not publicly disclosed, it was beleived that a large amount of tension had developed between the Nation of Jenko and its fellow alliance members.
With the nation needing a new alliance to call home, the nation decided upon the Imperium of Mutual Defense as its new alliance. Within one week of joining the alliance, the nation was appointed head of the recruitment department for talents shown both in CON and its first week in IMD. The department flourished under the leadership of the nation and IMD found its membership double from 40 to 80 members, at which point the nation was appointed the position of regent in the alliance.
It was not long after being appointed regent that the nation then found itself running in the elections for the High Council. The landslide victory in the election allowed for the nation to retain a position of prestige and power in the alliance that it remains in to this day.
