The purpose of the Military Intelligence Department is to keep an eye on the events and actions in the cyberverse to identify, locate and assess situations that could potentially compromise the security of the New Pacific Order and the safety of her members.

The growing number of alliances, rogues, and groups that wished to harmed the New Pacific Order prompted it to be created.

The ultimate goal of the Military Intel department is to keep the New Pacific Order from harm.

The future of the Military Intel department is one that will continue to be of asset to the alliance. One that keeps working in the background without fanfare to ensure the future safety of the New Pacific Order.

The day to day duties of the Military Intel require the maintenance and input of information into information systems to allow MilCom and other leadership to make quick and timely decisions based upon current and future threats and situations.

Military Intel has internal awards for recognizing Field Agents, Tactical Analysts, and Cryptographers who demonstrate the ideals of Military Intel. There is also a monthly award given by the Intel Director to that member of Intel who stood out for the month, as well as one given by the Cryptographers.

Military Intel looks for people who work well together as a team, are good self starters, know and practice OpSec and who have demonstrated in other departments within the alliance that they can do a good job.

In general, Military Intel runs in the background, so it is not a department for someone wishing to be in the limelight, but one who enjoys working quietly, efficiently and in the background for the betterment of his/her alliance mates.

Other departments that influence Military Intel and vice versa, are Praetorian Guard and MilCom. The heads of each of these departments work together to form High Command and each other's jobs can at time be dependent on one another.

On July 11th 2009, the old flag was retired and replaced by a new flag and banner:
