Policies[]
Economic Policy[]
“ | Emphasis on the role of free markets, fiscal conservatism, promotion of personal responsibility over welfare programs, and individual achievement as the primary factors behind economic prosperity. | ” |
The party opposes a government-run single-payer health care system, believing such a system constitutes socialized medicine and is in favor of a personal or employer-based system of insurance.
Environmental Policy[]
The IPJ adopted, as part of its platform, support for the development of market-based solutions to environmental problems. According to the platform, "economic prosperity and environmental protection must advance together, environmental regulations should be based on science, the government's role should be to provide market-based incentives to develop the technologies to meet environmental standards, we should ensure that environmental policy meets the needs of localities, and environmental policy should focus on achieving results processes.
Official Policy of Global Warming[]
“ | The IPJ, as a party, is skeptical of anthropogenic global warming and question scientific studies on the impact of human activity on climate change. We [the IPJ] assert that global warming is part of a natural cyclical phenomenon, or is caused by a number of other alternative factors. | ” |
