The Herogasm War started on 25 June 2022 when the combined forces of Freehold of The Wolves & North Atlantic Treaty Organization declared war on Doom Wolves, Doom Squad, & DOOMBIRD DOOMCAVE. FTW and NATO mirrored DBDC's own open declaration of war on much of CN, though they restricted their statement to: "include [solely] Doom entities such as Birds, Wolves, and Squad."

Background

On November 9, 2020, DBDC posted an open declaration of war on the OWF. In the DoW, they declared a general declaration of war, indicating that any so-called 'raids' carried out by DBDC were actually full blown wars, and should be responded to in kind. Notably, neither DS nor DW existed at the time of this declaration.

FTW & NATO grew upset that DOOM (more generally) would raid whenever they wanted and whomever they wanted (without protection or treaty ties). DOOM alliances were also criticized publicly as using their ties with CLAWS and New Pacific Order to shield them from the consequences of their actions. FTW & NATO decided that they had had enough and declared war on several of the Friends of DOOM. Importantly, that did not include The Dark Templar which shares dual membership with DBDC and has always been considered part of DOOM.

The war was spurred by the recent ODoAP between the New Polar Order and Argent as well as the NAP signed between CLAWS and NpO.

War

The war began on 25 June 2022 when FTW & NATO forces attacked members of DBDC, Doom Squad and Doom Wolves , though FTW & NATO had sent sizeable parts of their respective alliances into Peace Mode - in the lead up to the declaration.

In response to the violation of their intelligence clauses, as well as lack of communication, NpO announced the cancellation of their treaties with FTW, NATO, & Non Grata. Additionally, NPO privately cancelled their MDoAP with NATO, their oldest active treaty on similar grounds. The Independent Republic of Orange Nations suspended their treaties with FTW and CCC privately as well.

On 26 June 2022, CLAWS declared on FTW & NATO in defense of their allies DBDC, DS, and DW.

On 28 June 2022, NPO and DT declared on FTW & NATO in defense of DBDC, and DS.

On 1 July 2022, The Legion declared on NPO in defense of FTW.

On 3 July 2022, Sparta declared war on NPO in defense of FTW & NATO.

On 5 July 2022, Ender Order declared war on NPO & CLAWS in the comment section of Legion's DoW on NPO.

On 5 July 2022, Non Grata, Christian Coalition of Countries, & Rebel Virginia's Federated Allied Independence League declared war on New Pacific Order in defense of FTW and NATO.

On 6 July 2022, The Grand Lodge of Freemasons activated Article VI of the AZTEC Treaty and declared war on FTW and NATO.

On 6 July 2022, IRON declared on NG and Sparta & New Polar Order declared on NG and CCC in defense of NPO.
