The Freehold of the Wolves (FTW) is an Absolute Monarchy and the number three alliance in Cyber Nations. It is the largest and the only sanctioned alliance on White Team. It is also one of the largest in CN. FTW remains one of the premier alliances in Cyber Nations since its founding in October 2017.
Its members are known as Valyrian Wolves and each Valyrian Wolf is a member of the Tribunal. FTW prides itself in the fact that we have one of the strongest lower-tier of nations in the entire game.
The King of the Freehold of the Wolves is Dark Lord Sauron, who previously served as a shaman in Fellowship of the Wolves, and then as Lord of State, before becoming Regent of FTW, and then finally King. He has control of all functions of the government.
History
On October 25th, 2017, the alliances of The Freehold and the Fellowship of the Wolves agreed to merge and become the Freehold of The Wolves (FTW). The Freehold was previously led by the Diadoch, Maegor, and the Fellowship of the Wolves was previously led by the Alpha Wolf, Canik.
The Triumvirate
When FTW was founded it was decided that the alliance would be led by a Triumvirate. The Triumvirs would be the Triumvir of Foreign Affairs, Triumvir of Internal Affairs, and the Triumvir of Military affairs. The Triumvirate was made up of Maegor for Foreign Affairs, Canik for Military Affairs, and Pjk11 (Taco) for Internal Affairs. Pjk11 (Taco) had previously led the alliance Aevrum before it merged into Fellowship of the Wolves.
As the Triumvir of Foreign Affairs, Maegor, was able to sign an MnDoAP with IRON, & ODN. As well as an ODoAP with Nordreich (2nd), and SNX before unexpectedly resigning from the position in December 2017.
In the months that followed Maegor's resignation, FTW was being led by a temporary government of Canik, Taco, and Dark Lord Sauron, who served as Shaman in the Fellowship of the Wolves.
The Mad King!
In January 2018, FTW signed a ODoAP with Alpha Wolves.
In February 2018, FTW signed an ODoAP with SLAP.
In March 2018, Canik took control of the FTW's government and was proclaimed King of Fire and Ice. He appointed Taco as Hand of the King, Dark Lord Sauron as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph 'Muddog' Black as Minister of Internal Affairs, Daario Naharris as Minister of Military Affairs, and Smitty256 as Minister of Harmony.
In April 2018, after Kashmir raided Supernova X during the Second NpO-SNX War, FTW declared war on Kasmir in defense of their allies, which was followed shortly after by COBRA declaring war on FTW. The war ended in white peace 5 days later.
On June 6th, 2018, the FTW surpassed 10,000,000 NS! 1,000,000 Tech! & 100+ members
On September 21st, 2018, FTW declared war on COBRA after a perceived hostility towards Canik from General Kanabis, then King of COBRA. Supernova X as well as the alliance CLAWS had joined FTW in declaring on COBRA. The war lasted until November 17th, 2018 when it ended in white peace.
Also on September 21st, 2018, FTW signed an MDoAP with CLAWS.
In December 2018, ANiMaLz merged into the FTW. After the merge, FTW gained a Brown Team Senate seat.
On January 16th, 2019, Supernova X officially merged into the FTW. After the merge, FTW gained all 5 White Team senate seats!
On January 30th, 2019, FTW became a founding member and signatory of the military bloc known as the Roll For Initiative
On March 16th, 2019, COBRA declared war on FTW after failed negotiations from a raid on FTW's protectorate ANiMaLz. This was shortly followed by Kashmir, The Imperial Entente (TIE), SRA, and Sellswords, known as the COBRA Coalition, all declaring war on FTW. RFI responded by declaring war on COBRA, The Legion declaring war on Kashmir, Argent declaring on SRA, and LoSS declaring on Sellswords, TIE, and COBRA. The war ended on August 10th, 2019 when the COBRA Coalition admitted defeat to FTW and RFI.
On March 20th, 2019, when the war with the COBRA Coalition was breaking out, Non Grata raided FTW.
On July 18th, 2019, Non Grata officially declared war on FTW.
On August 2nd, 2019, the New Pacific Order, the Independent Republic of Orange Nations, and the Orange Defense Network all denounced Non Grata, declared them rogues, and declared war on them. This led to the sub conflict known as the Hazardous Materials War.
On March 20th, 2020, Non Grata officially surrendered to FTW and the NPO Coalition.
On June 22nd, 2020, FTW signed a ODoAP with Christian Coalition of Countries
On June 27th, 2020, FTW signed a ODoAP with Sparta
On July 7th, 2020, LoSS officially merged into FTW.
On September 12th, 2020, Non Grata signed an extension of the Non Aggression Pact they had signed back at the end of the war. This NAP will expire on January 1st, 2021 at 00:00.
On November 9th, 2020, FTW signed a Senate Agreement with CCC and TPF, later known as United Federation of Pixels, known as the White Team Unity Accords.
On December 13th, 2020, FTW upgraded their ODoAP with CCC to a MnDoAP.
In February 2021, FTW left RFI and their treaties with GATO and CLAWS were canceled.
On March 1st, 2021, FTW signed an ODP with the reformed Doom Squad.
On March 2nd, 2021, FTW signed a ODP with The Phoenix Federation (2nd).
On March 20th, 2021, FTW signed a ODP with New Polar Order.
On March 28th, 2021, FTW upgraded their ODoAP with The Legion to an MDoAP.
On May 14th, 2021, FTW signed an ODoAP with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
On June 5th, 2021, after 10+ years of leadership, Canik retired as King of Fire & Ice.
The All Seeing Monarch
When Canik retired, he was replaced by his long time aide and confidante, Dark Lord Sauron.
On September 5th, 2021, FTW signed an ODoAP with Non Grata.
On November 15th, 2021, FTW broke 15,000,000 nation strength for the first time!

The King of Fire & Ice
Office of the King of Fire & Ice

The Office of the King of Fire & Ice is led by the King of Fire & Ice. The King of Fire & Ice is the absolute ruler of the Freehold of the Wolves. The King has supreme authority on all matters that pertain to the alliance.
The Council of Lords
Office of the Hand of the King
The Office of the Hand of the King is led by the Hand of the King, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Hand of the King is Pjk11 (Taco), who was appointed in March 2018 by the Mad King. The Hand is the official 2nd in command of the Freehold of the Wolves. The Hand is is responsible for the welfare of the alliance and leading the Council of Lords. The Hand is answerable only to the King. The Hand has the authority and power to speak for and issue commands on behalf of the King.
Office of the Regent
The Office of the Regent is led by the Regent, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Regent is VelocityVIP, was appointed to the office in June 2021, by the All-Seeing Monarch. The Regent is traditionally a ceremonial role, and is only used when the King of Fire & Ice is on leave and/or incapable of fulfilling the duties of the office. When the Office of the Regent is used, the Regent shares power and authority with the Hand of the King. The Regent and the Hand will make decisions together. The Regent will represent the alliances to foreign alliances and the Hand will control the internal affairs of the alliances.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is led by the Lord of Foreign Affairs, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Lord of Foreign Affairs is VelocityVIP, who was appointed to the role in November 2020 by the Mad King. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs acts as the official representative for the King to foreign alliances. The Freehold of the Wolves has a general policy of non-aggression towards other alliances. Raiding of nations is only allowed with approval from the War Department.

Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is led by the Lord of Internal Affairs, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Lord of Internal Affairs is Smitty256, who was appointed to the role in October 2020 by the Mad King. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for all matters concerning alliance membership. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for recruitment, admissions, white team senate affairs, and any other membership issue.
Ministry of Economic Affairs
The Ministry of Economic Affairs is led by the Lord of Economic Affairs, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Lord of Economic Affairs is Lord Draculea, who was appointed to the role in October 2020 by the Mad King. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is responsible for all matters concerning finance and the alliance treasury. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is also responsible for all trade circles and foreign aid.
Ministry of Military Affairs
The Ministry of Military Affairs is led by the Lord of Military Affairs, who is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice. The current Lord of Military Affairs is CodArk2, who was appointed to the role in August 2020 by the Mad King. The Ministry of Military Affair's job is to make sure that every member of the alliance is ready and able to fight should a war break out. The Ministry of Military Affairs is also responsible for issuing war orders during a war and coordinating attacks with the War Departments of allied alliances. The Freehold of the Wolves usually will maintain neutrality in foreign wars. That said, FTW is not afraid of going to war and declaring on alliances.
