The Freehold of the Wolves (FTW) is an absolute monarchy & Game of Thrones themed alliance in Cyber Nations. It is the largest and only sanctioned alliance on White Team. It is also the 3rd largest alliance in CN. FTW remains one of the most premier alliances in Cyber Nations since its founding in October 2017.
Its members are known as Valyrian Wolves and each Valyrian Wolf is a member of the Tribunal. FTW prides itself in the fact that we have one of the strongest lower-tier of nations in the entire game.
The King of the Freehold of the Wolves is Dark Lord Sauron, who previously served as a shaman in Fellowship of the Wolves, and then as Lord of State, before becoming Regent of FTW, and then finally King. He has control of all functions of the government.
History[]
On October 25th, 2017, the alliances of The Freehold and the Fellowship of the Wolves agreed to merge and become the Freehold of The Wolves (FTW). The Freehold was previously led by the Diadoch, Maegor, and the Fellowship of the Wolves was previously led by the Alpha Wolf, Canik.
FTW is an amalgamation of several different alliance mergers. FTW's core membership comes from FEAR, Wolfpack, The Ironborn, The Mages Guild, The Mechanicus, Supernova X, ANiMaLz, & LoSS. FTW is one of the only alliances that is built mostly on mergers and come out successful.
When FTW was founded it was decided that the alliance would be led by a Triumvirate. The Triumvirs would be the Triumvir of Foreign Affairs, Triumvir of Internal Affairs, and the Triumvir of Military affairs. The Triumvirate was made up of Maegor for Foreign Affairs, Canik for Military Affairs, and Pjk11 (Taco) for Internal Affairs. Pjk11 (Taco) had previously led the alliance Aevrum before it merged into Fellowship of the Wolves.

2017[]
- 25th of October - Freehold of the Wolves founded.
- 4th of December - Freehold of the Wolves declares war on the Royal House of Aevrum in defense of Nordreich.
- 7th of December - Freehold of the Wolves signs a ODoAP with Supernova X.
- 18th of December - Maegor abruptly resigns from the FTW Triumvirate, leaving a temporary government of Canik, Taco, and Dark Lord Sauron.
The Mad King![]
2018[]
- 24th of January - FTW signs a ODoAP with Alpha Wolves.
- 10th of March - Canik takes control of the FTW's government and is proclaimed King of Fire and Ice. Taco is appointed Hand of the King, Dark Lord Sauron appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joseph Black/Muddog is appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, Daario Naharris is appointed Minister of Military Affairs, and Smitty256 is appointed Minister of Harmony.
- 11th of April - After Kashmir raids Supernova X during the Second NpO-SNX War, FTW declares war on Kasmir in defense of their allies, which was followed shortly after by COBRA declaring war on FTW. The war ends in white peace 5 days later.
- 6th of June - FTW surpasses 10,000,000 NS! 1,000,000 Tech! & 100+ members
- 21st of September - FTW declares war on COBRA after a perceived hostility towards Canik from General Kanabis, then King of COBRA. Supernova X as well as the alliance CLAWS joins FTW in declaring on COBRA. The war lasts until the 17th of November when it ends in white peace.
- 21st of September - FTW signs a MDoAP with CLAWS.
- 4th of December - ANiMaLz merges into FTW. After the merge, FTW gains a Brown Team Senate seat.
2019[]
- 16th of January - Supernova X officially merges into FTW. After the merge, FTW gains all 5 White Team senate seats!
- 30th of January - FTW becomes a founding member and signatory of the military bloc, Roll For Initiative.
- 16th of March - COBRA declares war on FTW after failed negotiations from a raid on FTW's protectorate ANiMaLz. This is shortly followed by Kashmir, The Imperial Entente (TIE), SRA, and Sellswords, known as the COBRA Coalition, all declaring war on FTW. RFI responded by declaring war on COBRA, The Legion declaring war on Kashmir, Argent declaring on SRA, and LoSS declaring on Sellswords, TIE, and COBRA. The war ends on August 10th, 2019 with the COBRA Coalition surrendering to FTW and RFI.
- 20th of March - When the war with the COBRA Coalition was broke out, Non Grata raids FTW.
- 18th of July - Non Grata officially declares war on FTW.
- 2nd of August - New Pacific Order, Independent Republic of Orange Nations, and Orange Defense Network all denounce Non Grata, declare them rogues, and declare war on them. This leads to the sub conflict known as the Hazardous Materials War.
2020[]
- 20th of March - Non Grata officially surrenders to FTW and the NPO Coalition.
- 22nd of June - FTW signs a ODoAP with Christian Coalition of Countries.
- 7th of July - LoSS officially merges into FTW.
- 12th of September 12th - Non Grata signs an extension of the Non Aggression Pact they had signed back at the end of the war. This NAP will expire on January 1st, 2021 at 00:00.
- 9th of November - FTW signs a Senate Agreement with CCC and TPF, later known as United Federation of Pixels, known as the White Team Unity Accords.
2021[]
- 1st of March - FTW signs an ODP with the reformed Doom Squad.
- 2nd of March - FTW signs a ODP with The Phoenix Federation (2nd).
- 20th of March - FTW signs a ODP with New Polar Order.
- 28th of March - FTW upgrades their ODoAP with The Legion to a MDoAP.
- 14th of May 14th - FTW signs a ODoAP with North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
- 5th of June - Canik abdicates as King of Fire & Ice after 10+ years of leadership,
- Canik abdicates the throne: You're all mad.
The All Seeing Monarch[]
When Canik retires, he is replaced by his protege, Dark Lord Sauron.

- 15th of November - FTW breaks 15,000,000 nation strength for the first time!
2022[]
- 5th of March - FTW breaks 16,000,000 nation strength for the first time!
- 23rd of March - Smitty resigns as Lord of Internal Affairs, after 4 years of serving in Internal Affairs. He is appointed as Deputy Lord of Foreign Affairs.
- 29th of May - FTW sign a ODoAP with The Templar Knights.
- 25th of June - FTW and NATO start the Herogasm War.
- 25th of June - EJ, Regent of NpO, cancels The Frozen Wolf Pact and states that FTW violated the intelligence clause of the treaty as the reason for the treaty cancellation.
- 9th of July - FTW signs a MDoAP with Mostly Harmless Alliance.
- 9th of July - New Polar Order annul their treaty cancellation with FTW, after EaTeMuP returns to the throne of Polar.
- 16th of December - White Peace was achieved, ending the Herogasm War officially on December 25th, 2022.

The King of Fire & Ice is the absolute ruler of the Freehold of the Wolves. The King has supreme authority on all matters that pertain to the alliance.
Within the Office of the King of Fire & Ice is the Regent. The Regent is appointed by the King of Fire & Ice to rule in his stead should the King take a prolonged absence. The current Regent is Smitty, having been appointed on the 3rd of August, 2023, by the All-Seeing Monarch. The Regent has the same powers and responsibilities as the King when the King is gone.
The King may appoint someone to serve as Acting Regent, should the King take a leave of absence and the Regent is unavailable to take over for the King. The Acting Regent has the same powers and responsibilities as the King when the King is gone.

Office of the Hand of the King[]

The current Hand of the King is Pjk11 (Taco), who was appointed on the 10th of March, 2018, by the Mad King. The Hand is the official 2nd in command of the Freehold of the Wolves. The Hand is is responsible for the welfare of the alliance and leading the Council of Lords. The Hand is answerable only to the King. The Hand has the authority and power to speak for and issue commands on behalf of the King.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs[]
The current Lord of Foreign Affairs is Canik, who was appointed to the role on the 1st of December 2023, by King Velocity. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs acts as the official representative for the King to foreign alliances. The Freehold of the Wolves has a general policy of non-aggression towards other alliances. Raiding of nations is only allowed with approval from the War Department. The Lord of Foreign Affairs is also known as the Lord of State.

Ministry of Internal Affairs[]
The current Lord of Internal Affairs is Vacant. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for all matters concerning alliance membership. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for recruitment, admissions, white team senate affairs, and any other membership issue.
Ministry of Economic Affairs[]
The current Lord of Economic Affairs is Vacant. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is responsible for all matters concerning finance and the alliance treasury. The Ministry of Economic Affairs is also responsible for all trade circles and foreign aid. The Lord of Economic Affairs is also known as the Lord of the Treasury.
Ministry of Military Affairs[]
The current Lord of Military Affairs is CodArk, who was appointed to the role on the 15th of August, 2020, by the Mad King. The Ministry of Military Affair's job is to make sure that every member of the alliance is ready and able to fight should a war break out. The Ministry of Military Affairs is also responsible for issuing war orders during a war and coordinating attacks with the War Departments of allied alliances. The Freehold of the Wolves usually will maintain neutrality in foreign wars. That said, FTW is not afraid of going to war and declaring on alliances. The Lord of Military Affairs is also known as the Lord of War.
