FK Kirov is a Uralican football (soccer) club that was founded in 2008 by the three-way merger of three minor-league Kirov clubs: Progress Kirov, Rodina Kirov, and Babylon Kirov. It competes in the Bolakliiga, but it is considered one of the weaker teams in the league as it finished third-from-last in the inaugural Bolakliiga season, ahead of only Zavod Ural Solikamsk and Lokomotiv Kotlas. The following season was a little better, with them finishing fifteenth, a point ahead of FK Syktyvkar.

In the first five rounds of the 2010 Kanslerinkilpi, it was noted that FK Kirov had been performing much better than they had in the past by sport pundit Antero Hentunen.
