Empire of Russia is a small, developing, and new nation at 3 days old with citizens primarily of Russian ethnicity whose religion is Christianity. It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of Empire of Russia work diligently to produce Uranium and Spices as tradable resources for their nation. It is a mostly neutral country when it comes to foreign affairs. It will usually only attack another nation if attacked first. Empire of Russia is currently researching nuclear technology for the use of nuclear power plants but believes nuclear weapons should be banned. Plans are on the way within Empire of Russia to open new rehabilitation centers across the nation and educate its citizens of the dangers of drug use. Empire of Russia allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. Empire of Russia believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. Empire of Russia will trade with other nations with questionable ethical treatment of their citizens but prefers to keep such trade agreements a secret.
History[]
For hundreds of years the territory now known as the Empire of Russia was inhabited by many nomadic peoples, Many years ago the Slavic Tribes created the City State of Petrograd after years of being nomadic, and being harassed by other governments in the region, the First Czar of the Empire was Alexander the First, who created the city state and proclaimed himself Czar. Alexander the 5th is a Descendant of Alexander the First and since its creation, the empire has been ruled exclusivley by members of the same family.
Economy[]
The economy of the Empire of Russia is a developing one, Recently the Czar has commissioned two new major factories, most of the economy is based on agriculture and Small enterprises like blacksmiths shops,though exports of spices and Uranium contribute quite a bit to the economy, as well as a developing Machine building sector. Infrastructure is Adequate,the government has recently constructed a harbor. The Empire of Russia is very technological backwards, what little advanced technology is available is imported, and most of the Population is Illiterate. However the Czar has announced plans to soon modernize the country, and is already in the process of "Technology Trading" which should put over 1 million Roubles of money into the national treasury, as well as constructing factories.
