Current Constitution[]

Preamble[]

We the people of Infinity, in order to establish justice and ensure domestic security, defend ourselves from the rouges and ghosts the plague Planet Bob, provide a forum for our membership that is optimal for nation growth, and educate the people in ways of Cybernations hereby establish The Infinity Alliance.

Article I[]

1. The legislative powers of government are in the hands of the active members of the alliance.
a. Active members are full members of The Infinity Alliance that have logged onto The Infinity Alliance forum within seven (7) days of a vote.
b. Full membership is to defined by the people as written in Article IV.
2. All Declarations of War (DoW), Mutual Defense Pacts (MDP), Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pacts (MDoAP), Mutual Aggression Pacts (MAP), and Mutual Defense and Aggression Pacts (MDAP) must be approved by unanimous (100%) vote of the legislature.
3. All other treaties and foreign agreements must be approved by a supermajority (75%) vote of the legislature.

Article II[]

1. The executive powers of government shall be divided into four (4) departments – with department leaders leading each department.
a. The Departments are: Infinity United, Infinity Central, Infinity Global, and Infinity Institute.
b. Each Department leader shall be elected by the people and serve a two (2) month term.
c. A member may only serve as a Director of a particular department for six (6) consecutive terms.
2. Infinity United shall be in command of the volunteer military – and shall serve the sole purpose of defending the alliance.
a. The Director of Infinity United shall only have the responsibility to gather intelligence under the legal methods under international law, to keep and maintain an active record of the alliance of the alliance membership, to command the squads of combat in times of war, negotiate strategy with our allies in combat and defend the alliance from rouges and ghosts.
b. The Director of Infinity United may appoint assistants to help serve in the role described in Article Two, Section Two, Subsection A (II,2,A). These assistants are:
i. The Director of Infinity United Intelligence shall have the power to gather and organize information that is critical for alliance security using means legal under international law.
ii. The Director of Infinity United Records shall have the power to keep and organize a list of nations in the volunteer military – grouping nations of compatible nation strength into squads for military combat.
iii. Commander of Infinity United shall have the power to lead squads in the proper techniques of cyber-conflicts.
3. Infinity Central shall have the responsibility to maintain and create the necessary forums and websites of The Infinity Alliance.
a. The Director of Infinity Central shall only have the responsibility of masking all envoys and new members of Infinity Forums and to ensure the security of al forums and websites belonging to The Infinity Alliance.
b. In order to ensure the stability of our forums and websites – the Director of Infinity Central may appoint assistants to help serve in the role described in Article Two, Section Three, Subsection A (II,3,A). They are:
i. The Director of Infinity Central Masking and Boards shall have the responsibility to create and maintain masks and embassies for foreign Envoys and the masking of new members.
ii. The Director of Infinity Central Forum Maintenance shall have the responsibility to find, create, and add forum modifications and themes to provide membership the latest features in forum technology.
4. Infinity Global shall have the responsibility of representing the alliance abroad.
a. The Director of Infinity Global shall have the responsibility to represent the alliance abroad, to run and maintain a volunteer network of tech traders to be used by all nations on Planet Bob to promote the tech trade at home and abroad, and maintain an alliance fact-book to be published on foreign forums, and an accurate wiki page on the Cybernations wiki.
b. The Director of Infinity Global may appoint assistants to help serve in the role described in Article Two, Section 4, Subsection a (II,4,a). They are:
i. The Director of Infinity Global Network Manager shall have the responsibility to maintain the technology market.
ii. The Director of Infinity Global Editor shall have the responsibility to maintain the alliance fact-book and wiki page.
iii. Infinity Envoy shall have the responsibility to represent the alliance abroad on foreign forums.
5. Infinity Institute shall have the responsibility to educate the membership of Infinity Alliance.
a. The Director of Infinity Institute shall have the responsibility to create guides to properly educate the alliance, to create an entrance exam as outlined by the legislature, and create and award degree programs in particular fields.
b. The Director of Infinity Institute may appoint assistants to help serve in the role described in Article II, Section 5, Subsection a (II,5,a). They are:
i. The Dean of Economics shall run, operate, and organize economic lessons and certify degree completion in programs dealing in economics.
ii. The Dean of History shall run, operate, and organize history lessons and certify degree completion in programs dealing in history of Cybernations.
iii. The Dean of Philosophy shall run, operate, and organize philosophy lessons and certify degree completion in programs dealing in philosophy.
iv. The Dean of Public Policy shall run, operate, and organize public policy lessons and certify degree completion in programs dealing in public policy.

Article III[]

1. The judicial powers of government shall be held by the full members as described in Article 1, Section 1, Subsection a (I,1,a).
a. The leader of the Court shall be elected by the people and shall assume the role of the Supreme Justice for the time of the court case – but shall drop all powers once the case has been decided.
2. Legal proceeding that the court have the ability to prosecute deals with only technology fraud, government fraud and other high crimes and misdemeanors, treason, confusion over who has the responsibility according to this Constitution, Impeachment of Government Officials dealing with the previously stated, and all crimes with nations and alliances outside The Infinity Alliance.
3. The Court shall operate as follows:
a. The prosecuting party shall be referred to as π and the defending party shall be referred to as ∆. π may be any full member of the alliance as described by Article 1, Section 1, Subsection b (I,1,b)
b. π shall press charges against ∆ and shall outline in the charges why the member feels this person is guilty of said crime. The Supreme Justice shall put the charges to a vote by the Judicial Body. In order for the charges to be heard in open court the charges must receive a majority (50%) vote.
c. In the event a majority is not achieved, the charges are dropped.
d. In the event a majority is achieved, the ∆ shall respond to the charges by means of forum post. π may post a rebuttal, but the ∆ may not post a second post.
e. The Judicial Body shall vote on whether the ∆ is guilty by 2/3 majority vote (66%). The majority opinion must be published by the most senior member of the judicial body that volunteers to right the opinion for the majority side as the official decision. The minority opinion may be published by any member of the minority side – though there may only be one of each opinion on the official record.
f. In the event the ∆ is found guilty, the Court shall decide by majority vote the sentencing for the crimes. All banishments and removal of office must be approved by the legislature by majority (50%) vote.
g. In the event the ∆ is found not guilty, the ∆ has been resolved of all crimes charged. Double Jeopardy is illegal – unless new evidence has been discovered. In the event new evidence has been discovered, the Judicial Body shall vote on whether or not to hold a second trail. If a 2/3 majority vote (66%) decides to hear the case – it is open to a new trial as described in Article III, Section 3 (III,3) of this Constitution.

Article IV[]

1. New Members of Infinity must fulfill the following requirements as decided by the Members of Infinity to become Full Members of The Infinity Alliance:
a. All New Members must join the Blue Trading Sphere.
b. All New Members must have their alliance affiliation set to “The Infinity Alliance”
c. All New Members must have at least fifty (50) posts on “The Infinity Alliance” Forum.
d. All New Members must complete a competency test created by the Director of Infinity Institute with basic economic methods of CN.
2. All members of The Infinity Alliance and envoys must abide by the following Code of Conduct.
a. No member is to dishonor another member in anyway on the forums, Inter-nation Relay Chat (IRC), or any other forum. However, constructive criticism is encouraged.
b. On the IRC main TIA channel and private TIA channels there shall be no kicking or banning for fun of any member present. The only place that kicking for fun (not banning) should be available is the SPAM channel.
c. The only reason one should kick another member is if they are a threatening alliance members or foreign envoys or are causing general channel mayhem.
d. Any violation of the Code of Conduct will result in an automatic court case and possible suspension from the Alliance.
3. All members of Infinity Alliance prior to the ratification of this Constitution are full members of The Infinity Alliance.

Article V[]

1. Amendments dealing with any Articles I, II, and III, require a supermajority (75%) vote from the legislative branch to prevent government corruption and manipulation in our lives.
2. Amendments dealing with Article IV shall only require a majority (50%) vote from the legislative branch to ensure the requirements for entry are in par with the peoples will.

Articles of Liberty[]

These articles outline the rights of all members of the Infinity corporation and can not be overruled or taken away.

Article I. Every nation member has the right to a well regulated military including nuclear arms.
Article II. Every nation member has the right to join and leave the alliance anytime they wish.
Article III. Every nation member has the right to fair and just legal system.
Article IV. Every nation member has the right to run for political office.
Article V. Every nation member has the right to join any department and seek higher position within them.
Article VI. Every nation member may take part in technology trades to acceptable nations
Article VII. Every nation has the right to present bills in the Infinity senate.
Article VIII. Every nation has the right to run for an official team senate.
Article IX. Every nation has the right to speech, liberty and the freedom from political persecution.

Original Constitution[]

The following is the current Constitution of The Infinity Alliance:

Article I - Membership[]

i) Any nation may join The Infinity Alliance if they meet the following requirements:

a. They are currently not involved in any military engagements.
b. They have switched their team color to blue.
c. They are not receiving foreign aid (with the exception of tech deals).
d. They fill out the proper application form on The Infinity Alliance forums.
e. They have "The Infinity Alliance" as their alliance affiliation.

Article II- Governance[]

i) Executive Order[]

a. The Executive Order consists of the Triumvirate.
b. The Triumvirate consists of three members.
c. The Triumvirate may execute orders. These orders are called executive orders and may be declared unconstitutional by the judicial branch.
d. A member of the Triumvirate may be ejected by the senate and judiciary branch by a 75% majority vote.
e. Should a member of the Triumvirate be ejected, a new one will be elected from the People.
f. The Triumvirate may veto any laws created by the senate with a 2 to 3 majority vote.

ii) The Senate[]

a. The Senate consists of 7 elected officials.
b. Each member of the Senate serves a 2 month term.
c. A member of the senate may be impeached by the people with a 55%+ majority vote.
d. The senate creates laws and statutes which are used to govern the people.
e. These laws may be vetoed by the Triumvirate.
f. The Senate may declare war on alliances by a 100% majority vote but may still be subjected to a Triumvirate veto.

iii) The Judiciary Court[]

a. This branch of government is appointed by the Triumvirate.
b. Members who have an outstanding grasp of The Infinity Alliance's governance and laws may sit on the bench.
c. The Judges sit for life unless they resign or step down and cannot be impeached.
d. There are 3 Judges who serve on the bench.
e. The Judges may conclude Executive orders to be unconstitutional, thus nullifying it.
f. Judges hear cases of those who break alliance laws and determine a reasonable punishment.

iv) The Subsidiaries[]

a. This branch of government is elected by the people and they serve a 4 month term.
b. There are four different subsidiaries:
i) Infinity Central
ii) Infinity Global
iii) Infinity Financial
iv) Infinity United
c. These entities are run by their respective Directors.

v) The Directorate[]

a. The Director of Infinity Central is in charge of all domestic matters, including but not limited to:
1. Appointing and removing Deputy Directors.
2. Masking new members.
3. Overseeing alliance protocol.
4. Delivering a monthly address to the Senate on the state and progress of the alliance.
5. Taking precedence in monitoring the forums.
b.The Director of Infinity Global will oversee all foreign matters, including but not limited to:
1. Appointing and removing Deputy Directors.
2. Masking new envoys and creating their respective embassies.
3. Drafting any diplomatic documents.
4. Appointing and removing envoys.
5. Negotiating peace and surrender terms, in conjunction with the Director of Infinity United.
c. The Director of Infinity Financial is responsible for all economic matters within the alliance, those of which include but are not limited to:
1. Organizing and supervising tech deals and trade circles.
2. Overseeing major financial transactions.
3. Setting lending policies and managing the distribution of loans.
4. Generating a monthly fiscal statement to the People of The Infinity Alliance, outlining the economic status of the alliance.
5. Developing new policies to promote and ensure the financial well-being of the People.
1d. The Director of Infinity United is in charge of all military matters, including but not limited to:
1. Military purchase advice.
2. Minimum war chest requirements, battles, and spy operations.
3. He/She is in charge of appointing at least three assistants:
i. Deputy Director of Military Education
ii. Deputy Director of Intelligence and Special Operations
iii. Deputy Director of Military Command
2d. The Deputy Director of Military Education is in charge of instructing the people and ensuring that they follow military orders. Such educational material includes, but is not limited to:
1. Peacetime edification.
2. The appropriate steps to take in the event of a rogue attack.
3. War Preparation guides.
4. Instructions on how to properly meet war chest and military requirements.
3d. The Deputy Director of Intelligence and Special Operations is in charge of all matters related to information and espionage, which include, but are not limited to:
1. Maintaining records of alliance spy numbers.
2. Forming comprehensive spy plans in the case or event of war.
3. Assigning any special espionage operations to the appropriate personnel.
4. Keeping records of previous rogues as well as keeping track of previous battle threads.
4d. The Deputy Director of Military Command is in charge over all the wars and battles currently being fought, war strategy, and dividing the troops into Divisions as he/she sees fit.
e. Deputy Directors may be appointed or removed at any given time by the respective Directors of each Department. Their jobs are to facilitate the various tasks of the Directors and assist them in any way possible. It is the responsibility of the Director(s) to notify the People of The Infinity Alliance of an appointment or removal of a particular Deputy Director(s). Also, the Director(s) can choose the title and responsibilities of their Deputies.

ix) The People[]

a. The people serve to elect the senate and can impeach the Senate.
b. They have the choice of joining any ministry and can propose bills to the Senate.
c. The people have the rights outlined in the Articles Of Freedom.

Article III- War[]

i) At no time is a nation of The Infinity Alliance allowed to attack an unaligned nation without proper approval.

ii) At no time is a nation of The Infinity Alliance allowed to attack any red or aligned nation.

iii) War is declared by the senate with a 100% majority vote but is still subjected to a Triumvirate veto.

iv) If deemed necessary the Triumvirate and senate may ask the Judiciary for martial law, a 100% majority vote is needed by the judges.

Article IV- Constitutional Amendments[]

i) Amendments may be proposed by any member (in good standing) at any time.

ii) Amendments must be presented before the senate and then debated after a 48 hour debate a vote may occur for all of the members for 72 Hours.

These articles outline the rights of all members of the Infinity corporation and can not be overruled or taken away.

Illegally Ratified Constitution[]

The Following was the Constitution of The Infinity Alliance from July 13, 2009 - July 16, 2009. It was later shown to be illegal on the grounds of not being properly ratified by the Senate – which was officially elected on July 12, 2009.

Article I - Membership[]

i) Any nation may join The Infinity Alliance if they meet the following requirements:

ii) At no time is a nation of The Infinity Alliance allowed to attack any aligned nation.
iii) War is declared by the board of directors.
iv) If deemed necessary the Chairman of the Board may ask for martial law which will form the creation of the War times cabinet. The war times cabinet will consist of all Lieutenants and Generals, The Chairman, and the Directors of Infinity United and Global. This cabinet will have temporary control over the alliance until it is deemed necessary by the Board.
