Canary Coal is a public corporation in Alleghenia. It operates several coal mines in and around Pittsburgh. Coal is widely used and necessary for power or steam generation, primarily in rural areas across North America.
The coal industry was the number one national export of Alleghenia. In 2141, to further strengthen this income stream, Alleghenia began a campaign to expand its borders west and south[1] to capture more coal deposits. This was greatly to Canary Coal's benefit. The completion of the OSR railroad to Pittsburgh allowed Canary Coal easy access to J Andres and Ottania.
