Nation Information Edit
- BookLand is a growing, developing, and old nation at 187 days old with citizens primarily of Celtic ethnicity whose religion is Judaism. It is a backwards nation when it comes to technology and many refer to it unkindly as a 'Third World Nation'. Its citizens pay extremely high taxes and many despise their government as a result. The citizens of BookLand work diligently to produce Silver and Pigs as tradable resources for their nation. It is an aggressive country that some say has an itch for war. When it comes to nuclear weapons BookLand will not research or develop nuclear weapons. The military of BookLand has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. BookLand allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. BookLand believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. BookLand will not make deals with another country that has a poor history of inhuman treatment of its citizens.
BooklandEditBookland is a nation of proud people whose love of books and reading is only surpassed by their patriotic spirit. Created after the prompting of a friend in RL, Prime Minister redsleighdown has led his country and people valorously and fairly. Seeking to strengthen itself, and to protect its people from belligerent and rogue nations, redsleighdown joined the Confederacy of Imperial States within a couple of days of the formation of BookLand. There BookLand thrived for many months fighting in the controversial FPI war and helping out as a temporary diplomat to an alliance the CIS wished to improve relations with. Unfortunately, BookLand decided to sever its ties with the Confederacy of Imperial States on August 4, 2008 due to situations and relationships between CIS and other alliances that the government of CIS failed to explain to its followers. Another reason prompting this severing of ties, was the alliance's disbanding later that day.
