The Democracy of Alpinia, commonly known as Alpinia, is a little state situated in the north of the italian peninsula.
History[]
Indipendence and member of the New Polar Order[]
On 24 May 2013, with the Act of Whitemount, a small territory of the italian alps became the indipendent democracy of Alpinia. The same day the population unanimously proclaimed Lollinus Keth the first President of Alpinia.
On 25 May 2013 Alpinia made his first move on the world stage by establishing a trade agreement with the american nations of Albanny and Augustine. The president also made a request to have his nation being accepted in the alliance of the New Polar Order. On the following day, after the necessary investigations, Alpinia became an official member of Polaris. As a member of the alliance the growth of the small nation was exponentially high and fast, but with the advantages also comes duties.
Infact on 29 May 2013 Alpinia was recluted to engage the german nation of the Nordic Roman Empire, who was responsible for an attack against a member of Polaris, the 1st American Empire.

The main symbols that represent the Alpinian nation are:
- The Alpinian flag, with his characteristic colours: green, red and white colours.
- The pine tree, symbol of the nation also represented on the national flag and in the coat of arms.
- The alpine ibex, national animal of Alpinia.

Even though small, the nation of Alpinia has his own army, the Alpinian Armed Forces. His soldiers are specialized in mountain combat, but they're quickly learning other strategies.
