Background[]
The War and Alliance Councils date back to the founding of Pacifica. Outlined in the charter by Ivan Moldavi, they originally had many of the powers that the Imperial Officers of the Order have today. The Alliance Council was in charge of the day-to-day running of the Order. They dealt with the internal and external issues that arose from time to time. The War Council was a body dedicated to the running of the war machine of Pacifica.
Each Council was made up of four members of the Body Republic that had been elected to their positions by their peers. Both Councils were chaired by the Emperor and ultimately reported to him. Successful members in both these Councils could find themselves nominated and elected multiple times.
In February 2007, the Alliance and War Councils came to an end with the introduction of the new charter as proposed by Emperor Revenge. With the changing over, the Imperial Officers assumed the old duties of both Councils as well as those of the Imperial Liaisons, which had been created in May 2006.
